Judy Judith

New clients always ask me if I like to be called Judith or Judy.  I let them know if I’m wanting to be suave and sophisticated it’s Judith.  When I want to be “down home” it’s Judy.  Family & friends, long ago, decided that I was never suave and sophisticated.

I have  2 dear clients who decided that since they couldn’t tell which mood I was in refer to me as Judy Judith.  Works for me.

Judith: She’s a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist, Certified Clinical Hypnosis & Guided Imagery Therapist

Judith’s been in private practice in Laguna Niguel, CA since 1986.

As a senior faculty member for The Academy for Guided Imagery since 1989 she’s taught hundreds of healthcare professionals how to use Interactive Guided Imagery(sm) for health & wellness. She also teaches Therapeutic Creative Expression workshops – painting, creative journaling, mask painting – and self-hypnosis.

In 2006 & 2007 Judith was honored by the National Fibromyalgia Association as one of 35 people in the United States to be a “Leader Against Pain.

Judy: She’s Max’s human and Dave’s wife

Judeeeeeee

Judy loves anything creative – EXCEPT singing & dancing.  (Her vocal cords are connected to her 2 left feet).  She sews, knits, paints, makes jewelry, draws and tends to “clutter”.  The “clutter” is ALWAYS valuable things that she knows can be used in projects or transformed into something marvelous.

Judy was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1996 and is blessed that she’s been able to manage the symptoms and continue to work. Every day she thanks God for what He has given her and what He’s NOT given her.

Judy Judith:  I’m never completely sure which one is around . . .

The truth of the matter is my life’s work is my life.   I live and work in California. I’ve been a licensed psychotherapist since 1986, specializing in treating individuals with life altering conditions. The irony is I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1996 and had a pacemaker implant in 2010 for heart arhthmyias.  It’s been a difficult and life changing journey.

I use Therapeutic Creative Expression, self-hypnosis and Guided Imagery in my own journey with fibromyalgia and heart disease to lead as productive a life possible.

Most of the pictures, unless otherwise identified, on this blog are from my own Therapeutic Journals.

Ramesh, God has truly blessed me and I know that there are no coincidences. No coincidences that your elephant and ant were destined to be just as the internet has brought you and me together from different lands and cultures.
I’m honored to be your friend.
      Judy
P.S. Absolutely call me Judy because my longest and closet friends and all my relatives call me Judy!
P.P.S. Max and Duffy will definitely have to meet Eleph and Ant!

    Hi Judy:
I discovered your website through a comment you left at another blog: http://chronicpainjournal.wordpress.com and would love to include your blog and website in my list of blogs of interest/note, and give a quick shout out to your blog and website in an upcoming blog entry. Wanted to check with you first, to make sure you are okay with this. My blog is: http://phylor.wordpress.com My original intent was to put a postive spin on living with chronic pain, but as you will see, I’ve been all over the place lately!
