Sneak Peek into my Sketchy Life
Hadn’t been to life drawing class in over a month and now with my “foot in a sling” there are no nudes – other than Freddie – in my immediate future. These are the last few quickies.
Here are 10-minute sketches that are “printable”.
The next is what a typical one-minute warm-up looks like.
The aim is to get the “attitude” or the “gesture” as there’s no time for details.
I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of inserts! If it works that would be a great solution.
Cortisone is a very ambiguous medicine. It’s important to weigh the benefits against the side effects and too many injections could also cause more damage than healing.
Wishing you a lovely weekend! 😊
I know leg troubles all too well sadly and how it can imprison you at home to a degree. I have achillodynia, an inflammation of the Achilles tendons and surrounding tissue since last November and it really sucks! (Pardon my French 😉).
What kind of classes are on offer?
Sarah,
OUCH!
I’ve been taking classes through the Emeritus program at the Junior college and there’s a variety and each class only costs $5.00. I’d like to take a painting class but don’t want to get up early in the a.m. . . .
(I had a foot neuroma and used Traumeel cream for several months – twice a day – and it helped A LOT. It’s got arnica in it which is used for pain and inflammation – bought it on the internet but health stores might carry it)
Thank you so much for the tip about the cream!! I’m now running around with Birkenstock sandals which seem to help too. Healthy footwear seems to be important – who would have guessed. 😉 Wonder though what I can do in winter! 😂
Sarah,
I wore Crocs for 2 years before I found a podiatrist who worked to change how I was walking (inserts). All the others just wanted to give me cortisone injections (one helped for awhile and then I developed horrible reaction to the cortisone which was worse than the neuroma pain) . . . Hope you get some relief before your toes freeze over with the weather.
Sarah,
THANK YOU!
I had to stop going to class when I fractured my ankle because I couldn’t drive. New classes start up for the Fall and I’m not sure what to take.

I hope you get back to art classes and all the rest of your life soon. You’ve been cooped up too long.

Shari, I double your sentiment. I’ve been cooped up so long I’m clucking.
