We were planning a trip to visit and then the pandemic hit. We can’t show you the pictures we were going to take of the horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, turkeys, chickens, llamas, peacocks, emus, cats and dogs in sanctuary at The Gentle Barn
In substitute, take a look at these animals!

The Gentle Barn is on a six-acre paradise in Santa Clarita, CA. The Gentle Barn has a second location in Nashville, Tennessee, and a third in St Louis, Missouri. It is their goal to open Gentle Barns in every state so that everyone in America can hug cows, cuddle turkeys, give pigs tummy rubs, and look into the eyes of these animals and know for certain that we are all the same, and deserving of the same rights, respects, and freedoms.
Since its inception, The Gentle Barn has saved thousands of animals. Once rehabilitated, the animals help us give hope and inspiration to children with the same stories:

Peggy, you are quite a talented photographer. Most of us (like me!) take pictures but you take portraits.
Ever since you and Judy started posting info about Gentle Barn, I’ve wanted to take my grandchildren. Post-pandemic, we’re going to go places – GB being one of them. Thank you for your good work on their behalf.
You might know that the animals at the zoo at Irvine Regional Park are all rescues whose care is partly earned from the modest entry fees.

Shari,
That is good to know about Irvine Regional Park.
Judy and I wanted to go there and take a check in person, but not now. We will do like you and visit after Covid. I am getting quite a long list of things to do then.

The Gentle Barn sounds like an amazing place. Anyone who saves animals is a hero in my book. What a wonderful idea to donate fifty percent of your profits. Bravo to you. Gorgeous photos. Sorry you couldn’t make it there this time, hopefully in the not too distant future.
